Explosion in weapons depot in Ukraine, nearly 10,000 people evacuated
An explosion occurred at a military depot near Chernigov, the Public Relations Department of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported.

The incident occurred near the town of Ichnya at around 3 a.m. The scale of the explosion is being determined. The area of the arsenal is about 682.6 hectares, of which the technical area is 402 hectares.
Restrictions have been imposed in the area and along the border with Russia. Within a 20-kilometer radius, rail and road traffic have been suspended. Airspace in the area of the incident has also been closed.
According to the National Emergency Service of Ukraine, about ten thousand people have been evacuated. The command post for the work to eliminate the consequences of the emergency situation has been deployed.
