Explosion at an arms depot in Ukraine forces nearly 10,000 people to evacuate.
An explosion occurred at a military depot near Chernigov, according to the Public Relations Department of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.

The incident occurred near the town of Ichnya at approximately 3 a.m. The scale of the explosion is being determined. The weapons depot covers an area of approximately 682.6 hectares, of which the technical area is 402 hectares.
Restrictions have been imposed in the area and along the border with Russia. Within a 20-kilometer radius, rail and road transport is disrupted. Airspace in the incident area has also been closed.
According to figures from the National Emergency Situations Service of Ukraine, approximately ten thousand people have been evacuated. A command center for dealing with the aftermath of the emergency has been established.
