Efforts are underway to rescue three fishing boats that caught fire in Quynh Phu commune.
On the morning of June 30th, a fishing boat belonging to a local fisherman caught fire in the waters off Quynh Phu commune. Authorities are working to extinguish the fire and save the fishermen's property.
According to information from the Quynh Thuan Border Guard Station, on the morning of June 30th, the unit participated in the rescue of a fishing boat that caught fire in the sea area belonging to Tan An village, Quynh Phu commune.
Specifically, the fire occurred around 5:00 AM on June 30th at a boat mooring area in Tan An village.
The three fishing vessels that caught fire are: NA-80261-TS, NA-80263-TS, and NA-80258-TS.
Immediately after receiving the report, the military, police, border guards, militia, along with local authorities and a large number of people, quickly arrived at the scene, coordinating efforts to extinguish the fire, secure the area, and minimize damage.
Specifically, the Fire Prevention and Rescue Police Department of Nghe An province directed Fire and Rescue Teams No. 4 and No. 9 to deploy 3 fire trucks, 3 fire pumps, and more than 20 officers and soldiers to the scene to extinguish the fire.
According to initial verification, the fire started on one ship and then spread to two ships anchored next to it at Tan Thang dike, in Tan An village, Quynh Phu commune.
The Fire Prevention and Rescue Police Force, in coordination with relevant units, promptly extinguished the fire, saving most of the property on the three burning ships and preventing the fire from spreading to other ships anchored nearby.
By 7:40 a.m. the same day, the fire was under control. The cause of the fire is suspected to be an electrical short circuit.
