Search efforts underway for missing students swept away by floodwaters

Previously, at around 1 - 1:30 a.m. the same day, two students from Quy Hop III High School, NVC (born 2008) residing in Cong village, Chau Hong commune and Luong Minh H. (born 2007) residing in Ha Dong hamlet, Chau Cuong commune, traveled by electric bicycle from Quy Hop town to Muong Ham village, Chau Cuong commune.

When H. and C. were walking to the middle of Muong Ham overflow bridge, it was raining heavily, the flood water was overflowing and flowing rapidly, causing both of them to slip and fall, causing their electric bicycles and both of them to be swept away by the water. Luong Minh H. was lucky to swim to shore, while NVC was swept away by the flood water.

Upon receiving the news, the Steering Committee for Natural Disaster Prevention and Search and Rescue of Quy Hop district and the Chau Cuong commune government mobilized forces to go to the scene to search for the victims.

However, up to now, C has not been found. The District Steering Committee for Natural Disaster Prevention and Search and Rescue has asked its members to be on duty 24/7, directing the mobilization of militia, self-defense forces, police... and people to expand the search area along the river passing through the communes of Chau Cuong, Chau Quang, Chau Dinh, Tho Hop, Tam Hop, Nghia Xuan.

At the same time, deploy effective and timely solutions and plans, and by all means search for the victims who were swept away as soon as possible.
