'Breaking' about being close to the leaders of the Ministry of Public Security, defrauding hundreds of millions of dong

On March 27, Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Huu Cuong - Deputy Head of Vinh City Police said that the Criminal Investigation Agency is temporarily detaining Bui Van Dinh (born in 1960), residing in Hai Phong City, to investigate and clarify the act of "Fraudulent appropriation of property".

According to the records, Bui Van Dinh did not have a stable job, but he falsely introduced himself as working at the Hai Phong City Radio and Television Station. Dinh boasted that he had many relationships with leaders of the Ministry of Public Security, so he could apply for a job there for a fee of hundreds of millions of dong.

Believing Dinh, 3 victims in Nghe An gave Dinh a deposit of 100 million VND each to help him find a job. After receiving the money from the victims, Dinh did not fulfill his promise but also did not return the money.

After receiving the victims' reports, Vinh City Police began an investigation. After consolidating enough documents, at the end of March, Vinh City Police coordinated with the professional departments of the Ministry of Public Security to arrest Bui Van Dinh while he was hiding in Hai Phong City.
