A season of love blossoms in the land of compassion and solidarity in Nghe An province.
Every Lunar New Year, as spring arrives, the land of Nghe An, rich in compassion and solidarity, blossoms with a "season of love," powerfully igniting kindness, community responsibility, and the aspiration to ensure no one is left behind.

Many creative approaches
One of the core objectives set forth by the 14th National Congress of the Party to ensure that its resolutions truly come to life is to awaken the spirit of self-reliance and the aspiration for progress, coupled with compassion, loyalty, and responsibility in every Vietnamese person.
With the spirit of "speaking less, doing more, doing quickly, doing strongly, and measuring by results," in the compassionate land of Nghe An, a movement and activities are emerging focused on helping the poor and those in particularly difficult circumstances, which many call the "season of love" or "season of happiness."

In Tam Hop commune, the spirit of supporting the poor goes beyond mere appeals; it is concretized through a well-structured and scientific plan. A mobilization committee was established early on. Three key target groups were clearly identified: officials and civil servants within the political system; successful businesses and production-business households; and officials and residents of the hamlets and villages.
To ensure the movement truly spreads, setting a good example is paramount. Comrade Vu Quang Minh – Standing Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of Tam Hop commune – shared: Although the minimum donation amount was one day's salary, many officials and civil servants voluntarily donated 4-5 days' salary. Simultaneously, the commune proactively worked with business associations; organized the "Spring of Solidarity - Tet of Love" program early; and intensified propaganda and appeals for support on digital platforms and directly in each hamlet and village.

Thanks to early and systematic efforts, by January 28th, Tam Hop commune had mobilized nearly 1 billion VND to support the poor and households in difficult circumstances. With this resource, the locality is determined to ensure that 100% of poor and disadvantaged households receive Tet gifts.,At the same time, focus will be placed on repairing houses for two particularly disadvantaged households, so that they can be used before the Lunar New Year of the Year of the Horse.
In the small house that is being renovated, Mrs. Quang Thi Xet,An 83-year-old woman living alone was overcome with emotion: “In my old age, I don’t have any spare money to repair my house. I never expected to receive such care from the commune and the community during these days leading up to Tet. This Tet, my heart feels more at peace and warmer…”

In Hoang Mai ward, the "season of love" was sparked by the decisive involvement of the Party Committee, the government, and the Fatherland Front of the ward. Based on the advice of the Standing Committee of the Fatherland Front Committee of the ward, the Standing Committee of the Party Committee directed the Association of Small and Medium Enterprises to organize a football tournament and a fundraising gala program, raising over 150 million VND.
Not stopping there, Hoang Mai promoted the role and responsibility of each key leader in directly mobilizing and connecting resources within and outside the province. One leader successfully connected with and mobilized 100 million VND from businesses in Hanoi. Thanks to the careful contributions of officials, citizens, businesses, and those who have left their hometowns, the amount of support quickly increased to nearly 1 billion VND.

According to Comrade Ho Canh Thuan, Chairman of the Fatherland Front Committee of Hoang Mai Ward: The most important thing is not just the amount of money raised, but the way it is given: Support must be given to the right people, without duplication or omission. It's not just about giving gifts, but about giving with respect. Therefore, the ward has developed a very specific plan to support the people, based on a thorough review of each poor household, near-poor household, newly escaped poverty household, seriously ill person, etc., so that no one is left behind.

In the mountainous commune of Tuong Duong, the "season of love" arrived earlier, starting in early December 2025. The "Tuong Duong Compassion" program was born from the concern of how to expand the scope of support, not only for poor and near-poor households but also for people with disabilities, orphans, and households facing extreme difficulties. Open letters were sent out; persistent campaigns spread from villages and hamlets to community organizations.
From fundraising car repair sessions held every Saturday morning by the Youth Union; to donating income from Tet vegetable gardens to the poor as part of a campaign initiated by the Farmers' Association; to livelihood models supporting women in flood-affected areas… in a short period of time, Tuong Duong has mobilized more than 613 million VND..
Visiting Tuong Duong this time of year, there are stories that bring tears to the eyes of those who hear them. Like the family of Ms. Lo Thi Hien in Cua Rao 2 village, whose husband is disabled, she herself is seriously ill, and their house collapsed after the floods. Thanks to 60 million VND from benefactors, along with the "turnkey" approach of the Fatherland Front Committee of the commune and the support of relatives, on January 20, 2026, her family received the keys to their new house. A small house, but enough to preserve hope; enough to make this spring truly warmer for Ms. Hien's family.

When social policies resonate with the people.
For generations, compassion and solidarity have been a lasting cultural heritage of the people of Nghe An. In the context of the country entering a new stage of development, this spirit is being strongly revived, linked to the overarching viewpoint of the 14th National Congress: sustainable development must begin with and be for the people..
Responding to the Call to Action from the Secretary of the Nghe An Provincial Party Committee to join hands in supporting and assisting the poor, those in difficult circumstances, and vulnerable people to celebrate the Lunar New Year of the Horse 2026 and the "Lam River Solidarity - Spring of the Horse 2026" Program, many agencies, departments, and localities have shown interest in leading and directing, proactively implementing propaganda and mobilization work with many good and creative approaches.

Particularly at each level, agencies and units have leveraged the roles, responsibilities, prestige, and relationships of leaders, officials, and staff to solicit support; in particular, each member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, members of the Provincial Party Executive Committee, and leaders of agencies and localities have directly mobilized businesses and philanthropists to donate resources to help the poor have a more comfortable Tet holiday.
Youth Unions, Women's Unions, and Farmers' Associations at all levels have creatively organized many fundraising programs, such as car washing, selling goods, organizing sports events, etc.; and at the same time organized programs such as "Warm Winter," "Volunteer Spring," "Winter Volunteering," "Warm Spring in the Border Region," etc.

According to an update from the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Nghe An province, as of 5 PM on January 28, 2026, 328 agencies, units, businesses, and philanthropists have registered to support the "Lam River Solidarity - Spring of the Year of the Horse 2026" program with a total amount of nearly 155 billion VND.
These figures not only reflect material resources, but more importantly, affirm the synchronized and responsible involvement of the entire political system and the spirit of responsible sharing from the entire community, wishing to support those in more difficult circumstances during the Lunar New Year and, in the long term and more sustainably, through housing support and livelihood models provided…
That's how social policies come to life. Effective, sustainable, and in line with the spirit of the 14th National Congress: Economic growth linked with social progress and equity; development of education and healthcare; sustainable poverty reduction; building a system of Vietnamese cultural values and people who are compassionate, kind, and responsible.
All levels and sectors in the province need to continue to promote propaganda, mobilization, and call for the joint efforts of the entire community, maximizing the responsibility of the political system, the compassionate spirit of businesses, philanthropists, and the people, so that no one is left behind when Tet comes and Spring arrives.
Comrade Nguyen Duc Thanh – Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the province
According to the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the province, the province currently has 32,952 poor households; 47,613 near-poor households; 12,606 people who participated in the resistance war and their children affected by chemical toxins; 13,095 disabled children; 2,404 blind people, along with many other vulnerable groups who need the attention and support of the whole society, especially during the Lunar New Year of the Horse in 2026.
Therefore, Comrade Nguyen Duc Thanh – Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the province emphasized: All levels and sectors in the province need to continue to promote propaganda, mobilization, and call for the joint efforts of the entire community, maximizing the responsibility of the political system, the compassionate spirit of businesses, philanthropists, and the people, so that no one is left behind when Tet comes and Spring arrives; at the same time, gradually create more livelihoods, improve housing, and support those in difficult circumstances with fundamental and sustainable solutions, so that love does not only stop at the "Tet season," but continues on the long-term journey of social welfare, in line with the profound humanitarian spirit of the 14th National Congress of the Party.
