One worker died after a barrel exploded.

(Baonghean.vn) - While cutting a barrel to make a temporary toilet at a construction site, the barrel exploded, killing one male worker.

The incident occurred at approximately 8:00 AM on March 19th at the construction site of a hotel and commercial service complex on Le Nin Street, Hung Dung Ward, Vinh City, owned by Nhu Ngoc Joint Stock Company.

According to initial information, while Mr. Vuong Van T., a construction worker residing in Yen Thanh district, was cutting a barrel to make a temporary toilet, the barrel exploded, killing him instantly.

A security guard at a business near the explosion site said the blast was very loud, and many workers who were working there fled in panic.

The cause of the incident is currently being investigated by the Vinh City Police.
