Studying and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, ethics, and style has become a regular and practical activity for cadres, members, and farmers throughout Nghe An province. Many effective models, with exemplary collectives and individuals, have had a profound and widespread impact on cadres, members, and all strata of the population.

In implementing the campaign to study and follow President Ho Chi Minh's teachings, the Standing Committee of the Provincial Farmers' Association has made signing a commitment to study and follow Ho Chi Minh's ideology, ethics, and style an important criterion for evaluating the responsibility of cadres and Party members, especially the leaders in Party branches, trade unions, and specialized agencies of the Provincial Association. Through organizing the dissemination and signing of commitments on implementation for cadres and Party members, the Party branch of the Provincial Association's agency has enhanced its sense of responsibility, improved its work capacity, and enhanced its attitude of serving the people.

To spread acts of helping the poor, since 2021, the Provincial Farmers' Association has issued Guideline No. 04 on "Association branches assisting farmer members to escape poverty sustainably". This guideline identifies all poor households in the province as eligible for assistance from the Party committee, government, and the entire society, and emphasizes the ongoing responsibility of farmers' associations at all levels. Annually, the Provincial Association assigns each association branch a target of assisting one farmer member household to escape poverty.

Under the guidance of the Provincial Farmers' Association, many units have developed good models and innovative approaches, such as the Quynh Luu District Farmers' Association with its "Cattle Bank" program, and the Do Luong District Farmers' Association with its "Contributing Bricks to Build Schools for Children" program...

Every year, the Party Committee of the Provincial Farmers' Association directs the Trade Union to promote and encourage each cadre, Party member, civil servant, and employee in the agency to donate at least one day's salary to support the Tet for the Poor program; 15.3 million VND was donated to support the prevention and control of the Covid-19 epidemic; and in implementing the "Wireless and Computers for Children" program launched by the Standing Committee of the Party Committee of the Bloc, all cadres, Party members, civil servants, and employees in the agency contributed and donated 3 smartphones, which were directly given to 3 students who are children of farmers' association members in Ke Gai hamlet, Hung Tay commune, Hung Nguyen district.
The Provincial Farmers' Association, in coordination with the Hanoi City Farmers' Association, provided assistance to a poor farmer member in Yen Thang commune, Tuong Duong district, to build a house with a support amount of 50 million VND.

Local farmers' associations have directed 37,237 association officials to participate as members of "Community Covid-19 Teams," and have overseen the establishment and maintenance of 161 "Agricultural Product Consumption Connection Teams," 109 "Agricultural Support Teams," 48 points, 7 stores, and 20 "Agricultural Product Consumption Connection Booths." More than 6,700 tons of agricultural products and food, and 11.2 billion VND have been contributed by farmers in the province to support the fight against the pandemic.

One of the key activities promoted by the Farmers' Association at all levels is poverty alleviation, through various forms of propaganda and mobilization of members with the spirit of "mutual support," through the "Brick of Compassion" program, where members contributed tens of thousands of bricks to help poor households build houses. Through the "Brick of Compassion" program launched by the Standing Committee of the Provincial Farmers' Association, farmers throughout the province registered to donate 4.6 billion VND to build houses for poor farming households. From 2023 to December 2024, the associations at all levels mobilized cadres, farmers, organizations, and individuals to support the construction and repair of 374 houses, with a total donation of over 5.4 billion VND.

Disseminating the models
Farmers' associations at all levels in Nghe An province have effectively implemented the movement "Farmers competing in excellent production and business, uniting to help each other get rich and sustainably reduce poverty". On average, over 300,000 member households register annually, and over 150,000 member households achieve the title of "Excellent in Production and Business" at various levels.

As a result, many successful farming and business households have emerged, operating on a large scale with annual revenues reaching hundreds of billions of dong, creating jobs for many workers. Annually, successful farming and business households at all levels in the province have guided and disseminated knowledge and experience to over 1,000,000 workers; helped over 150,155 workers find employment; and effectively assisted 88,089 households facing difficulties with capital, technical supplies, and production and business experience.

To support its members in economic development, the provincial farmers' association has assisted in the construction of 380 effective economic models. Many successful agricultural economic development models generating high incomes have emerged, such as the VietGAP-certified safe vegetable farming model in Nghi Loc and Quynh Luu districts; safe orange cultivation in Quy Hop, Con Cuong, and Anh Son districts; seafood processing in Cua Lo; bio-secure whiteleg shrimp farming in Dien Chau district; black chicken farming in Muong Long commune, Ky Son district; a chicken farming cooperative in Thanh Xuan commune, Thanh Chuong district; and a fruit tree cultivation cooperative in Quang Thanh commune, Yen Thanh district, etc.

In addition, farmers' associations at all levels actively mobilize farmers to participate in building new rural areas and civilized urban areas, contributing hundreds of billions of dong and donating tens of thousands of square meters each year.2They participated in land development, labor days to renovate, improve, and maintain transportation, irrigation, and cultural infrastructure; and organized numerous environmental protection communication activities.

Over the years, the various levels of the Farmers' Association have guided and supported the construction of 1,495 environmental protection models, 886 models for sorting organic waste at the household level, and 1,145 models for producing organic microbial fertilizers from agricultural waste and by-products, producing 41,509 tons of organic fertilizer with the participation of 16,243 farmer members; built 880 model gardens for new rural areas and 2,387 model gardens for farmers following the new rural area standard; 2,702 rows of "Farmers' Gratitude to Uncle Ho" trees; and 224 "Farmers' Gratitude to Uncle Ho" orchards. The "Planting 1 Million Green Trees" program for the 2021-2023 period was summarized, with a total of 1,564,016 trees planted by the various levels of the association at that time.

In addition, the Standing Committee of the Provincial Farmers' Association launched a movement for farmers to plant trees to prevent landslides and improve the landscape of rivers; this movement was piloted by the Provincial Farmers' Association in Anh Son district in 2024, and in 2025 it was continued at all levels of the association and received positive responses from officials, members, and farmers. By the end of April 2025: The entire province had planted 38,626 bamboo and rattan trees in the districts of Anh Son, Thanh Chuong, Do Luong, and Con Cuong.

The Provincial Farmers' Association proposed that the Provincial People's Committee approve the Project "Propagating, mobilizing, and guiding farmers in the production, business, and consumption of safe agricultural products and food in the period 2020-2023". During the implementation of the project, the provincial-level associations coordinated the organization of 107 training courses to equip over 5,000 farmer members with knowledge on the production, processing, business, and consumption of safe agricultural products and food; built nearly 400 models of safe agricultural product production; and directed and supported the opening of 8 stores selling safe agricultural products and food in districts, cities, and towns.

The Standing Committee of the Provincial Farmers' Association developed and proposed to the Provincial People's Committee the issuance of the Project "Propagating, mobilizing, and supporting farmers in producing microbial organic fertilizer from agricultural by-products and waste products in the period 2023-2025". From 2021 to the present, on average, farmers throughout the province have produced about 40,000 tons of organic fertilizer from agricultural by-products and waste products each year.

In addition, the Provincial Farmers' Association is focusing on strengthening coordination with various sectors and businesses to improve the quality of services supporting farmers in terms of capital, agricultural supplies, vocational training, scientific and technical training, and job placement counseling, thereby creating more opportunities for farmers to develop their production and business.
Over the past 10 years, the Provincial Farmers' Association has directly organized 238 vocational training classes for 8,216 trainees. Farmers' associations at all levels in the province have coordinated the organization of 1,727 vocational training classes for 55,615 rural workers, and 17,520 training courses on transferring scientific and technical advancements to members and farmers. They have also coordinated the supply of nearly 170,520 tons of fertilizer; over 650,000 livestock and poultry breeding stock; and nearly 2,680 tons of animal feed... worth over 18 billion VND. The total capital of the Provincial Farmers' Support Fund increased by 86.685 billion VND, bringing the total capital of the Provincial Farmers' Support Fund to 111.2 billion VND with 33,935 borrowing households.

The achievements over the past 10 years are clear evidence of the continuous efforts of farmers' associations at all levels in studying and following President Ho Chi Minh's teachings. In the coming period, the Provincial Farmers' Association will focus on effectively implementing tasks related to thoroughly understanding Ho Chi Minh's ideology on patriotic emulation; innovating and diversifying forms of propaganda and mobilization among cadres and farmer members to change their perceptions and actions.
Furthermore, focus on building and maintaining effective learning and following of President Ho Chi Minh's teachings; at the same time, promptly commend and reward collectives and individuals with good achievements, promoting the tradition of patriotism, diligence, and creativity in labor and production, striving to overcome difficulties and challenges to complete and exceed the set targets and tasks so that learning and following President Ho Chi Minh's teachings becomes increasingly profound and widespread, contributing to the successful achievement of the province's socio-economic development goals.
