(Baonghean.vn) - Immediately after the rain stopped, farmers in the localities actively went to the fields to harvest the rice crop and repair the damaged areas of winter vegetable crops.

To mitigate the damage caused by heavy rains, farmers in the coastal areas of Quynh Luu district are actively working in their fields, dredging canals, clearing drainage channels, and diligently tending to their crops, as well as replanting in affected areas.

* In Thanh Chuong,Heavy rains caused flooding in many residential areas, a landslide of approximately 250 m³ in Ru Nguoc affecting traffic safety on National Highway 46, a 100 m section of irrigation canal collapsed, and two bridges in Thanh Lien and Thanh Lam communes were eroded by water, causing one end of the bridge abutment to collapse; several rural roads were severely damaged, and culverts were washed away; the floods also submerged 576 hectares of winter corn and 2.1 hectares of various vegetables. 284 hectares of aquaculture farms were also flooded, including 244 hectares of fish ponds and 40 hectares of third-season fish farms.

Currently, local authorities and residents are working to overcome the consequences of the floods, stabilize their lives, restore production and livelihoods, and implement plans to respond to natural disasters.
