Mr. Nguyen Cong Trung's farm in Hamlet 1, Cao Son Commune, currently has nearly 150 wild boars, including 11 breeding sows. To meet consumer demand for the Lunar New Year, Mr. Trung has been diligently caring for his herd for the past few months, ensuring their healthy growth. To guarantee the delicious flavor of the meat, Mr. Trung employs a semi-free-range farming method, primarily feeding them elephant grass, cornmeal, and cassava pulp. As a result, the wild boar from his farm is always popular with consumers.
According to Mr. Trung, pigs can be sold when they reach a weight of 15-20 kg. For the upcoming Lunar New Year (Year of the Rooster), he plans to bring nearly 100 pigs to market at a price of 150-180 thousand VND/kg. After deducting expenses, he expects to earn 200 million VND.

At Nguyen Viet Nghia's wild boar farm in Hamlet 9, Tao Son Commune, more than 30 wild boars have already been pre-ordered by customers. To ensure a sufficient supply for Tet (Lunar New Year), he has to breed the pigs at the right time. Nghia shared that to achieve the best meat quality, besides using natural feed instead of industrial feed, the selection of breeding stock must also meet standards. He chooses Thai wild boar breeds, which are easy to raise, have good resistance to disease, and are suitable for the local climate and environment. Currently, Nghia sells about 100 pigs annually, earning between 150 and 200 million VND.
