Breaking News: Is ISIS supreme leader al-Baghdadi still alive?

According to Iraqi intelligence sources, IS supreme leader Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi is still alive and hiding in Syria.

Al Masdar News reported on July 17th that Al Arabiya television channel quoted Abu Ali al-Basri, Director of the Intelligence and Counter-Terrorism Department of the Iraqi Ministry of Interior, as confirming on July 16th that the supreme leader of IS, Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi, is still alive and hiding in Syria.

"Al-Basri has denied reports of the death of leader al-Baghdadi and said that he is still hiding in Syria but not in the 'capital' Raqqa," Al Arabiya reported.

Earlier, on July 11, Al Sumaria television channel, citing informed sources in Nineveh province, reported that ISIS militants had confirmed the death of...Supreme Leader Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi.

Iranian media also circulated photos showing al-Baghdadi dead.
