Nothing Phone (4a) and (4a) Pro revealed: Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 chip, 12GB RAM and Android 16

Nothing is expected to expand its mid-range smartphone segment by launching the Nothing Phone (4a) and Phone (4a) Pro in March. The latest reports have provided a detailed look at the specifications, processing performance, and color options of this product line.

According to leaker Sudhanshu Ambhore, both the Nothing Phone (4a) and Phone (4a) Pro will be equipped with two main configuration options: 8GB RAM + 128GB internal storage and 12GB RAM + 256GB internal storage. Maintaining these storage levels helps the device appeal to a wide range of customers, from general users to those requiring large storage capacity.

In terms of exterior design, the Black version will be available on both models. For separate variants, the standard Nothing Phone (4a) will also come in White, while the Pro version is expected to have Silver. Although there were rumors of blue and pink versions, the latest leaks currently focus only on these neutral tones.

Data from the Geekbench platform shows that Nothing Phone (4a) will be equipped with Qualcomm's Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 processor. This is a significant leap forward from the Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 chip in its predecessor. The chipset's 8-core CPU architecture includes one high-performance 2.71GHz core, three 2.40GHz cores, and four power-efficient 1.80GHz cores, along with an Adreno 810 GPU.

Notably, the device was found to be running on Android 16, showing Nothing's effort to update to the latest software as soon as it launches. To optimize processing speed, the company also confirmed that the (4a) series will use the UFS 3.1 memory standard, which increases data read and write speeds compared to older standards in the same segment.

Battery specifications and fast charging capabilities

The higher-end version, Nothing Phone (4a) Pro, has appeared on the EPREL certification system with a 5,088mAh battery. The device supports 50W fast charging technology, a specification that is competitive with rivals in the current mid-range phone segment.

Additionally, Nothing will likely launch the Headphone (a) model on March 12th at the same time as this smartphone line. Nothing's strategy in 2026 seems to be heavily focused on the (4a) line by bringing high-end features down to the lower price segment, instead of launching a separate flagship model.
