People's Artist Trinh Thuy Mui and artist Thanh Quy were elected as delegates to the 16th National Assembly.
People's Artist Trịnh Thúy Mùi is the only artist from the field of theater to be elected as a delegate to the 16th National Assembly, along with artist Thanh Quý, representing the voice of culture in the National Assembly.
On the afternoon of March 21st, the National Election Council announced the Resolution on the election results and the list of 500 elected delegates to the 16th National Assembly. Notably, this list includes two prominent figures in the field of culture and arts: People's Artist Trinh Thuy Mui and artist Thanh Quy.
People's Artist Trinh Thuy Mui: The sole representative of the theatrical field.
People's Artist Trinh Thuy Mui, currently Vice President of the Vietnam Union of Literature and Arts Associations and President of the Vietnam Association of Stage Artists, has been elected as a National Assembly delegate in the Dong Thap province constituency. She is also the only artist in the field of theater to participate in the 16th National Assembly term.

Sharing her thoughts after the results were announced, People's Artist Trinh Thuy Mui affirmed that she would strive to fulfill her responsibilities to be worthy of the voters' trust. Her action plan focuses on listening to the people's aspirations and promptly reflecting them to the National Assembly. In particular, with her in-depth knowledge of culture and law, she emphasized that she will actively participate in developing policies that directly impact the material and spiritual lives of the people.

Besides overseeing the activities of state agencies, the female delegate pledged to closely coordinate with the National Assembly delegation of Dong Thap province to propose policies for border region development, promote sustainable agriculture, and apply technology in tourism. She also proposed the establishment of a special mechanism to improve the lives of those working in the cultural, educational, and health sectors.

Born in Ninh Binh in 1962, People's Artist Trinh Thuy Mui received the Second Class Labor Medal and the title of People's Artist in 2015. During her term, she plans to propose increased investment in grassroots cultural institutions, while also protecting the rights of vulnerable groups such as women, the elderly, and children.

Also elected in this round is artist Thanh Quy, Deputy Director of the Bac Ninh Quan Ho Folk Song Theatre. As a representative of traditional art, artist Thanh Quy affirmed that she will focus on preserving and developing Quan Ho clubs in the locality.

Alongside cultural values, the female artists are committed to closely monitoring social welfare issues such as employment, healthcare, and the environment. The presence of artists in the 16th National Assembly is expected to bring diverse perspectives, helping to build practical and sustainable policies for the country.
