Viet Hoan performed a duet with Luong Nguyet Anh at the press conference. |
People's Artist Thanh Hoa shared at a press conference on October 24th that she was surprised and also worried when she heard the news that the two artists were pairing up. People's Artist Thanh Hoa then asked:Two familiar voices, each with its own subtlety, how can we combine them to create something new and different?
"Any show needs something new and appealing. I worry that the show might make people 'intoxicated,' perhaps bringing a wild, intoxicating feeling from the hills, from the depths of every artist's heart."
People increasingly want to sing without constraints, to break free from nature, and to express their emotions intensely. Hopefully, the program will not only bring familiarity, gentleness, and tranquility, but also novelty, appeal, and breakthroughs. I love these two, I understand Viet Hoan, Luong Nguyet Anh, and the aspirations of an artist. I hope you both give your all and ignite the passion of those around you when you perform."A heartfelt reflection on my homeland".People's Artist Thanh Hoa shared.

Meritorious Artist Viet Hoan revealed that it was their love for music, their love for the pure Vietnamese musical style, imbued with love for their homeland and country, that was the biggest and most powerful reason for the two artists from the 60s and 90s generations to "join forces" and create a joint live show.
Another reason for the pairing is that Viet Hoan said he really enjoys singing duets with female artists because his vocal tone always provides a backdrop to elevate the female artists, creating harmonious and sublime performances.
In response to VietNamNet's question:Pairing these two talented artists to sing folk melodies together shouldn't be difficult, but the visual aspect will be challenging for Viet Hoan – known to the audience as "The Singer Truong Chi" – alongside the beautiful and youthful Nguyet Anh. How will Viet Hoan have to adapt to make the duet appealing to both the ears and the eyes?
The male singer replied, "I don't like building an overly flashy image. I'm still modest about my height and looks; standing next to the angelic Luong Nguyet Anh, whatever I do would only make me seem more ridiculous. So, I can only win over the audience and ignite their passion with my voice."

Friends came to congratulate the two singers. |
Meritorious Artist Viet Hoan shared that he is passionately in love with Vietnamese music. Throughout his singing career to date, he has sung countless songs about love for his homeland and country. The more he sings, the more he feels captivated by his homeland and country, and the more he is enchanted by melodies that embody the soul of the nation. These melodies have brought him a glorious career, a heart always overflowing with love for every branch and blade of grass of his homeland, and a genuine, simple charm.
One day, Luong Nguyet Anh was unexpectedly invited by Viet Hoan to his estate on the hill. Upon arriving and seeing the scenery, Luong Nguyet Anh was suddenly inspired to sing:My house is on the hillside / Where forest birds sing sweetly / The sky is a gentle blue / The wind blows freely…Viet Hoan then realized that Luong Nguyet Anh was still passionate about music, and the two siblings came up with the idea of doing a joint live show.
"We have a lot in common, even though we haven't released any music videos or albums together yet. This is our first time working together on a project that's very big. Right from the start of our professional singing careers, we've performed on many big stages, proving that we have a connection in terms of soul and emotion with music. We share songs that are deeply rooted in Vietnamese culture, which is why we're determined to do a live show," Luong Nguyet Anh shared.
With two generations of artists, each with their own musical personality and unique style, it was difficult for director Pham Hoang Giang to harmonize them on stage. "We struggled to decide how to incorporate certain elements while keeping others intact and harmonizing with the music of Meritorious Artist Viet Hoan. Therefore, we regret that some of Luong Nguyet Anh's successes couldn't be fully included in the program. However, audiences will certainly see a complete and comprehensive musical portrait, showcasing Luong Nguyet Anh's love for her profession and passion for art, alongside her senior colleague, Meritorious Artist Viet Hoan," said director Pham Hoang Giang.
