At the age of 53, Meritorious Artist Vu Luan experienced the joy of fatherhood for the first time. He considers his daughter Thuy Yen a miraculous gift, a new source of life after having once thought he would never have children.
Meritorious Artist Vu Luan, at the age of 53, shared his happiness for the first time about officially becoming a father after his wife, former beauty queen Phuong Le, gave birth to their daughter, Luong Binh Thuy Yen. The male artist said he once thought he would never have the chance to have children, so the baby's arrival is a miraculous gift and a new source of life for both of them.
The emotional journey of fatherhood
Vu Luan revealed that when he married Phuong Le, they were both middle-aged and didn't have high expectations for having children. "I never imagined that, in that peaceful period when everything seemed settled, our daughter would come, gentle and miraculous like a miracle," he shared.
When he learned that his wife was pregnant naturally at the age of 46, the artist was overjoyed to the point of tears. However, the joy was accompanied by anxiety due to their age. Only after each ultrasound showed the baby was healthy could he breathe a sigh of relief. The moment baby Thuy Yen was born healthy, weighing 2.9 kg, Vu Luan felt a sacred and profound happiness. He considers his daughter a loving gift from God.
A capable stay-at-home dad.
After his daughter was born, Vu Luan proactively arranged his work schedule to dedicate all his time to his family. He confidently took on childcare tasks such as bottle-feeding, changing diapers, and putting the baby to sleep. According to Phuong Le, her husband is a skillful and capable stay-at-home dad, handling everything for the baby himself without needing a nanny, which helped her not feel overwhelmed even though it was her fourth child.
Vu Luan said that he and his wife always support and thoroughly discuss the upbringing of their child, hoping that Thuy Yen will grow up in a loving and complete environment. He also expressed his deep gratitude to his wife for accepting the hardships so that he could fulfill his dream of being a father.
Companionship and nurturing happiness
The cải lương artist shared that throughout her pregnancy, Phương Lê faced a lot of negative information and rumors about her love life. However, she maintained an optimistic spirit to keep the family atmosphere warm. Vũ Luân was always by her side, encouraging her and proactively making amends whenever his wife was angry.
The couple registered their marriage in April 2024 and held their engagement ceremony on a yacht in Ho Chi Minh City in August 2024. Their daughter was born on October 28th. Prior to this, Phuong Le had been married once before and has three daughters from her previous marriage.
Meritorious Artist Vu Luan, whose real name is Luong Van Binh, born in 1972, is a renowned Cai Luong (Vietnamese traditional opera) artist. He was awarded the title of Meritorious Artist in 2015. Phuong Le, born in 1979, is a businesswoman and was crowned Mrs. World Peace 2017.
