A 38-year-old female patient in Bac Giang died from COVID-19 infection.
A 38-year-old female patient has just been confirmed dead due to Covid-19 infection at Bac Giang General Hospital.
Speaking to VietNamNet, Mr. Mai Son, Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Bac Giang province, said that the Provincial General Hospital has just recorded one case of the disease.Covid-19death.
Patient number 4807 is Dao Thi M., 38 years old, from Van Nham commune, Huu Lung district, Lang Son province.
Ms. M. is a worker at Hosiden Company, located in Quang Chau Industrial Park, Viet Yen District, Bac Giang Province.
On May 18th, Ms. M. was tested and the result was positive for SARS-CoV-2. On May 19th, she was transferred to Bac Giang Provincial General Hospital for treatment. On the evening of May 20th, the Ministry of Health announced case number 4807.

During treatment, Ms. M's health deteriorated rapidly. Early on the morning of May 24th, she was transferred to the National Hospital for Tropical Diseases, Branch 2, for treatment, but she died en route.
Mr. Son stated that the initial cause of death was determined to be septic shock, pneumonia, and severe acute respiratory failure due to SARS-CoV-2 infection.
However, the exact cause of death is awaiting a consultation among experts.
This is the 44th death in Vietnam related to Covid-19.
