The female Party branch secretary mobilized the people to donate 2,000 square meters of land for the construction of new rural areas.

(Baonghea.vn) - As the Party branch secretary, Ms. Nguyen Thi Anh in Hamlet 9, Quynh Trang Commune, Hoang Mai Town, has implemented many effective and innovative methods to help local people develop their economy and actively contribute to the new rural development program.

Village 9 in Quynh Trang commune (Hoang Mai town) has 147 households with nearly 700 inhabitants, whose income mainly depends on agricultural production. To gradually improve the lives of the people, Ms. Anh pondered, considered, and proposed many solutions for the Party branch to discuss and agree upon, and which were then supported by the people.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Anh and officials from Hamlet 9 discussed and exchanged information about the work.

Following the policy of land consolidation and exchange, Ms. Anh and the Party branch discussed the plan to build model fields for production focusing on quality, food safety and hygiene, bringing high economic efficiency, and building trust among farmers in the State in building a model of commodity production.

Thanks to this, the material living standards of the people in Hamlet 9 have improved significantly, becoming one of the hamlets with a relatively high standard of living in the mountainous commune of Quynh Trang. The poverty rate in the hamlet is only 0.8%. The hamlet's land consolidation and exchange policy has been successfully implemented, and currently each household owns only 1.6 plots of land.

The villagers have converted areas of high-lying, low-income rice-producing land to vegetable cultivation, yielding incomes of 120 to 140 million VND per hectare. After evaluation, the commune's steering committee highly praised this model, considering it suitable for semi-mountainous areas and ready to be replicated in neighboring villages.

Not only is she excellent at her work, Ms. Ánh is also a capable homemaker, raising her children to be academically successful and well-behaved. Her eldest daughter, Hồ Thị Quỳnh Anh (born in 1996), is now a second-year student at Hue University of Foreign Languages, and her youngest daughter has been an outstanding student for many years. For many years, her family has been recognized as a model cultural family in the village and commune.

When Quynh Trang commune began building new rural areas, Ms. Anh, along with the village committee, held numerous meetings to devise appropriate solutions for disseminating information and mobilizing the people. As a result, the villagers of Hamlet 9 understood the benefits of building new rural areas and voluntarily donated nearly 2,000 square meters of land and auxiliary structures, contributing money and labor worth nearly 700 million VND to build rural roads.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Anh always takes great care in her children's education.

Mr. Nguyen Ba Tuong, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of Quynh Trang commune, said: Comrade Nguyen Thi Anh is an enthusiastic Party branch secretary with many effective methods in studying and following the moral example of Ho Chi Minh; she is considered by the Party Committee to be a capable village official and is highly trusted and loved by the people.

Thanks to her contributions, Ms. Anh was elected as the Party branch secretary of Hamlet 9 for two consecutive terms. For many years, she received commendations from the Party Committee and People's Committee of Quynh Trang Commune for her achievements in her work. In 2016, she was honored to receive a commendation from the Hoang Mai Town Party Committee for being an exemplary figure in studying and following the moral example of Ho Chi Minh.
