Fake female official sells one plot of land to nine people without proper documentation.
On October 13th, the Criminal Investigation Agency of Da Nang City Police served the indictment decision against Ngo Thi Thuy Dung (29 years old, residing in Thach Thang ward, Hai Chau district) for the crime of "Fraudulent appropriation of property". Initially, 16 cases have been identified where Dung defrauded and appropriated large sums of money.
According to initial information, in mid-2016, Dung borrowed a considerable amount of money from many people and became unable to repay it. In March 2017, Dung forged a Decision on the allocation of residential land to officers and employees of a military unit stationed in Hoa Khanh Nam ward (Lien Chieu district, Da Nang city) and sought buyers to deceive them into giving her money to pay off her debts.
To carry out her plan, Dung forged a Decision regarding the allocation of four land plots numbered 125, 126, 103, and 106 for sale to individuals interested in purchasing land, thereby misappropriating 4.79 billion VND in deposits. Specifically, for plot 125 alone, Dung created sales contracts with nine different people.

Because the suspect was pregnant at the time of indictment, the investigating agency applied a preventive measure prohibiting her from leaving her place of residence to continue the investigation and processing in accordance with the law.
On the same day, the police of Ngu Hanh Son district, Da Nang city, urgently arrested Nguyen Thi Tam (30 years old, originally from Quang Ninh district, Quang Binh province; temporarily residing in Ngu Hanh Son district) also for the crime of fraud and appropriation of property.
Using the guise of a civil servant with extensive connections, Tam defrauded a woman from Nghe An province of 190 million VND by promising her a job at a district-level prosecutor's office in Da Nang, before fleeing. At the investigative agency, the suspect confessed to the aforementioned crime.
