Queen Elizabeth II dies
Buckingham Palace announced on September 8 that Queen Elizabeth II of England passed away at Balmoral Castle in Scotland at the age of 96.
According to a brief announcement from Buckingham Palace at 0:30 on September 9 (Hanoi time), the Queen passed away peacefully at Balmoral this afternoon. The King and Queen will stay at Balmoral and then return to London.

Doctors have previously raised concerns about Queen Elizabeth II's health and recommended medical supervision of the 96-year-old monarch.
All of the Queen's children, Prince Charles, Princess Anne, Prince Andrew, and Prince Edward, rushed to Balmoral Castle to be with her. Her two grandchildren, Prince William and Prince Harry, were also present.
Prince Charles, 73, who has been heir to the throne since the age of three, will become King Charles III, and will be formally proclaimed at St James's Palace in London as soon as possible.
In the first statement of King Charles III, it read: "The passing of my beloved mother, the Queen, is a great sorrow for me and the members of my family. We deeply mourn the passing of our beloved head of state.
I know her passing is a great loss to the Kingdom and the Commonwealth and to many people around the world."
Britain is expected to hold a 10-day national mourning period to commemorate the Queen.
The Queen's last appearance before the media was a meeting with new Prime Minister Liz Truss on September 6./.
