Female drug dealer in her 30s receives prison sentence for selling drugs with a fellow addict.
(Baonghean.vn) - The defendants all have very bad criminal records, including the female culprit Truong Thi Thuong, who had previously been sentenced to 2 years in prison for "illegally possessing narcotics".
On June 21st, at Chau Thanh commune, the Quy Hop District People's Court held a mobile trial for the criminal case against defendants Truong Thi Thuong, Nguyen Ngoc Manh, and Truong Minh Muoi for the crime of "illegally trading narcotics".
According to the indictment, the investigation determined that in just two days (November 26 and 28, 2018), Truong Thi Thuong (born in 1986), along with Truong Minh Muoi (born in 1993), both residing in Coc Chat hamlet, Nghia Xuan commune (Quy Hop district), and Nguyen Ngoc Manh (born in 1982), residing in Hoa Hieu ward (Thai Hoa town), sold five packets of drugs four times for 900,000 VND to various individuals, including Sam Van Thieu, Nguyen Ngoc Nguyen, Tran Van Chien, Vi Huy Hoang, Sam Van Giap, and Truong Van Huy.

The total weight of drugs seized by authorities from the suspects was 1.295g of heroin and 0.19g of methamphetamine. At the police station, Thuong, Muoi, and Manh confessed that all the drugs belonged to Thuong. On November 26, 2018, Thuong bought the drugs from an unknown person in Tuong Duong district for 2 million VND to use and resell for profit. The suspects were discovered and the drugs were seized while they were using them together.
All the defendants have very bad criminal records. Truong Thi Thuong was sentenced to 2 years in prison by the Quy Hop District People's Court in 2015 for "illegally possessing narcotics"; Nguyen Ngoc Manh was sentenced to 2 years and 6 months in prison by the Que Phong District People's Court in 2007 for "illegally possessing narcotics" and was again sentenced to 2 years in prison by the Thai Hoa Town People's Court in 2016 for the same crime.
Based on the evidence and documents examined at the trial, the panel of judges sentenced the defendant Truong Thi Thuong.8 years and 6 months in prison,Nguyen Ngoc Manh sentenced to 8 years in prison.and Truong Minh Muoi was sentenced to 2 years in prison for the crime of "illegally trading in narcotics".
