"Every time I go home, witnessing my mother's frequent insomnia due to shortness of breath, a symptom caused by chronic sinusitis, especially on days when the weather changes, makes me feel so sorry for her. From then on, I decided to study hard in the science stream to get into medicine, so that I can treat my mother and others in the future," Nhat Mai confided.
In the three subjects of the B-group exams, Nhat Mai was always confident in Math and Chemistry, because she had a foundation from before and focused on studying the knowledge and skills since entering 10th grade. As for Biology, Mai said she only focused on studying about 3 months before the exam, meaning she only started to fill in the knowledge gaps for this subject when the exam was "right around the corner".

Sharing her study secrets, Nhat Mai said: “I only study at school, and I spend the rest of my time studying at home. I don't attend any extra tutoring classes. In class, I try to concentrate fully on listening to the teachers' lectures to absorb the knowledge. If I don't understand something, I stand up and ask for clarification. This way, the knowledge is always firmly embedded.”
During her time at home, Nhat Mai consulted additional materials borrowed from friends and teachers, and also researched online. Before each practice exam, Mai always visualized which problems needed to be solved first and which could be solved later to achieve optimal results. As a result, she always felt confident and prepared when entering the exam room.
Nguyen Thi Nhat Mai's first choice is to apply to Hanoi Medical University. Thus, her dream of becoming a skilled doctor to treat her mother and others is within reach and gradually becoming a reality.
“I recognize that this is just the initial result; there is still a long road ahead with many challenges that require effort to overcome. To reach my dream, I will continue to strive in my studies, training, and learning about communication skills and life skills, gradually improving myself.”
