Female student from Nghe An reaches the finals of the Miss Central Vietnam pageant.

(Baonghean.vn) - In the biggest beauty pageant in Central Vietnam currently taking place, the girl from Yen Thanh rice-growing district is the only one from Nghe An to reach the final round.

She is Nguyen Thi Huong, born in 1998, from Van Thanh commune, Yen Thanh district, currently a student majoring in tourism guiding at Hue University of Science.

Nguyen Thi Huong is 1.68m tall, weighs 47.5 kg, and has measurements of 82-61-92.

Miss Central Vietnam 2016 was the first beauty pageant for the Central region, spanning 19 provinces and cities from Thanh Hoa to Ninh Thuan. Through this competition, the organizers hoped to find a representative face embodying the compassionate beauty of the people of Central Vietnam, especially the women of Central Vietnam, and to build an image of an ambassador for social activities related to issues in the region, such as launching programs to support flood victims, visiting and giving gifts to disadvantaged families, etc.

The final round will be held from December 25th to 28th in Da Nang city. The grand finale will take place on December 28th at the Trung Vuong Theater in Da Nang city. The 20 finalists will showcase their talents in traditional Vietnamese ao dai, bikinis, and self-selected evening gowns, after which the top 5 finalists will advance to the Q&A round.

Nguyen Thi Huong is the only contestant from Nghe An to reach the finals of the Miss Central Vietnam pageant.

The winner of the Miss Central Vietnam title will receive a prize worth 100 million VND. In addition, the organizers will also award the titles of First Runner-up, Second Runner-up, Miss Talent, Miss Photogenic, Miss Ao Dai, Miss Evening Gown, Miss Beach, Miss Tourism, Miss Sport, and Miss Philanthropy.
