Female teacher training student opens Tet stall to raise money for charity.
(Baonghean.vn) - Joining in the festive atmosphere of the Lunar New Year 2018 (Year of the Dog) throughout Nghe An province, a group of female students from Nghe An College of Education opened a charity booth with the theme "The Flavors and Colors of Tet from All Regions of Nghe An".
The idea of opening a stall originated from the fundraising campaign for the "Warm Winter Fund" launched by the Youth Union of Nghe An College of Education. A group of young people, who are outstanding Youth Union and Student Association officials, took the initiative to call upon and encourage female students to volunteer to participate in this small business project.

With the aim of donating the majority of profits from selling Nghe An specialties to teachers, students, and people in the surrounding area for the "Warm Winter Fund," the group chose the period leading up to the Lunar New Year to launch their project.
Speaking with us, the female student group leader, Pham Thi Thuy Linh - a third-year student in the Early Childhood Education department, said: “At school, students come from all over the country, each with its own famous specialties such as Anh Son sticky rice cake, Do Luong rice crackers, Nam Dan soy sauce, Thanh Chuong fermented bamboo shoots, Ky Son taro… Therefore, we have developed this business project.”

Defining the criteria for the stall as "high-quality Nghe An products at student-friendly prices," the volunteer group called on high school and university students to showcase their regional specialties with the requirement of "sourcing directly from the origin at incredibly low prices." After nearly two weeks of appeals, dozens of popular Tet holiday food items have been gathered at this charity stall.
In addition, the female volunteers also organized the sale of popular snacks among students, such as fruit salad, fried sausages, and soda.
The booth, facilitated by the school's leadership and set up right next to the school gate for five consecutive days before the Tet holiday (February 5-9, 2018), attracted the attention and support of numerous faculty members, students of Nghe An College of Education, and local residents.
