The female CEO "forgot" and kept the money for personal use after advancing money from a partner to buy medical gloves.

According to the indictment, Coko Vietnam Joint Stock Company, with Nguyen Thanh Ha as General Director - legal representative, specializes in trading medical products and equipment.
On July 6, 2020, Nguyen Thanh Ha, representing Coko Company, signed a contract to purchase medical gloves with Mr. Truong Tan Tai - Director, representative of Via Consulting Group Company Limited.
Immediately after signing the contract, Mr. Truong Tan Tai transferred 9.25 billion VND to Coko Company's account.

According to the investigation results, Ha had previously signed a contract to buy and sell 10,000 boxes of medical gloves with Mr. Le Minh Truong - Director of 2TP Company Limited. After that, Ha met, agreed to sign a contract and received 9.25 billion VND from Mr. Truong Tan Tai, with the purpose of selling 5,000 boxes of medical gloves to Mr. Tai.
The money received from Mr. Tai, Ha transferred to Mr. Le Minh Truong's account and asked Mr. Tai to contact Mr. Truong to receive the goods. Because Mr. Le Minh Truong did not have the goods to deliver as agreed, Mr. Truong returned a total of 15.1 billion VND received from Ha (including 9.25 billion VND from Mr. Tai) for Ha to return to Mr. Tai and another customer named Son.
Receiving the refund from Mr. Truong, instead of returning the money to the partner, Nguyen Thanh Ha did not transfer it, even though he had the ability. Ha used the retained money for personal purposes.
Therefore, Nguyen Thanh Ha must bear criminal responsibility for the crime of "Abuse of trust to appropriate property" for the amount of 9.25 billion VND.
