The female head of the health station is passionate about her profession and wholeheartedly dedicated to her patients.

In 1997, after graduating from the Tuệ Tĩnh Traditional Medicine School, medical assistant Nguyễn Thị Hà was assigned to work at the Nghĩa Đức Commune Health Station. Starting as a medical assistant, after five years of diligent study, she graduated with a general medical degree from Thái Bình Medical University and was then appointed Head of the Nghĩa Đức Commune Health Station.

Previously, Nghia Duc was a particularly disadvantaged commune in Nghia Dan district, lacking basic facilities. At one point, the health station only had 4 staff members, including 1 person specializing in population control, and 2 hamlets had no village health workers.

In the early years of her work in the locality, the lives of the people here were still very difficult, and they did not pay much attention to taking care of their own health or the community's health. Ms. Ha advised the Party committee, the government, and mass organizations to organize propaganda and raise awareness of self-protection of health in the community, especially focusing on environmental sanitation, clearing drainage ditches, cleaning livestock pens, constructing sanitary facilities, bathrooms, latrines, water tanks, etc., ensuring hygiene according to the new rural standards, combined with inspection and supervision by health officials, to achieve high effectiveness and gradually ingrained in the people's consciousness.

Remembering President Ho Chi Minh's teaching, "A good doctor must be like a loving mother," Dr. Ha has continuously learned and trained to best fulfill her responsibilities. Balancing her managerial duties with direct medical examinations and treatments, Dr. Ha can't even remember how many people she has cared for and advised on treatment methods; how many cases of accidents and sudden anaphylactic shocks she and the other doctors and nurses at the first aid station have promptly treated before transferring patients to higher-level facilities. Through her kindness, attentiveness, and dedication to her work, Dr. Ha has earned the love and affection of the local people.

Dr. Ha is a very enthusiastic and responsible person. I'm often sick, so I frequently have to go to the commune's health station for check-ups and treatment. Here, the doctor carefully inquires about my condition and advises me on how to improve my health, which makes me feel very reassured. Not only me, but all the people in the commune who come to the station are also cared for and examined by her attentively and thoughtfully.

In her role and responsibilities as the station chief, she knows how to assign tasks appropriately according to the conditions, capabilities, and professional qualifications of each person, and she always sets a good example in her work to gradually build Nghia Duc Commune Health Station into a reliable address for primary healthcare for the people.

In particular, at the time when there were Covid-19 cases in Nghia Duc commune, given the complex developments of the epidemic, she and her colleagues coordinated with the commune's units and organizations to implement the motto "going to every alley, knocking on every door, checking every individual" to disseminate information on epidemic prevention and control measures. Through her efforts to prevent the spread of the disease to the community, she received much encouragement and gratitude from the local people.

In 2014, the health station was recognized as meeting the National criteria for commune health services. From 2012 to the present, Nghia Duc Commune Health Station has consistently received commendations from the District Health Center, the Nghia Dan District Labor Union, and the Nghe An Provincial Department of Health for its outstanding achievements in providing healthcare to the people.
