Who is the newly promoted female Lieutenant General?
Nguyen Hoang Ngoc, Deputy Director of the Central Military Hospital 108, has just been promoted from Major General to Lieutenant General by a decision signed by the President of Vietnam.
On November 4th, General Phan Văn Giang, Minister of National Defense, presented the appointment decision to Ms. Nguyễn Hoàng Ngọc.
According to the Central Military Hospital 108, Lieutenant General Nguyen Hoang Ngoc - Secretary of the Party Committee and Deputy Director of the Hospital - is the person directly in charge of the activities of the Party Committee, Party work, and political work of the hospital.
Associate Professor Dr. Nguyen Hoang Ngoc was born in 1967 in Hanoi. In 1989, she graduated as a doctor from the Military Medical Academy. In 2000-2001, she completed a training course in Neurology in France and successfully defended her doctoral thesis in medicine in 2003 at the Military Medical Academy, and was promoted to Associate Professor in 2014.
In November 2022, she was promoted to Major General. She currently serves as the Head of the Department of Neurology at the 108 Clinical Medical Research Institute, is a permanent member of the Hospital's Scientific Council, and is also a member of the Executive Board of the Vietnam Stroke Association and Vice President of the Hanoi Pain Relief Association.
Lieutenant General Nguyen Hoang Ngoc has been and continues to supervise many doctoral students, master's students, resident doctors, and specialist doctors of level 2.
The Vietnam People's Army has seven female military officers who have been promoted to the rank of general. These include two lieutenant generals and five major generals: Major General, Hero of the People's Armed Forces Nguyen Thi Dinh; Major General, Associate Professor, Doctor of Medicine Nguyen Hong Giang; Major General Ho Thuy; Major General, Doctor of Medicine Nguyen Thi Thanh Ha; Major General Bui Thi Lan Phuong; Lieutenant General, Associate Professor, Doctor of Medicine Le Thu Ha; and Lieutenant General, Associate Professor, Doctor of Medicine Nguyen Hoang Ngoc.
