New policy takes effect from September 2025

A series of new policies related to education, requirements for driving learners; industry, environment, cyber security… will officially take effect in September 2025.

Proposal to increase 5% of domestic wastewater fees for car washes, restaurants and hotels

Car washes, motorbike washes, car repair shops, motorbike repair shops, hospitals, clinics, restaurants, hotels, etc. will have to pay a fee for domestic wastewater of 15% instead of 10% on the selling price of 1m3 of clean water.
Every family is about to have to pay for domestic wastewater.

The Government has just issued Decree No. 154/2016 regulating the subjects of fees, cases of fee exemption, fee payers, collection rates, declaration, payment, management and use of environmental protection fees for wastewater, effective from January 1, 2017.
