While floodwaters in highland communes like Thanh My and Hanh Lam are receding, in the lower part of the district, floodwaters continue to rise, threatening vulnerable dikes.

In Thanh Duong commune, the authorities and people stayed up all night to deal with and reinforce the eroded Ba Dong dike.

In Dai Dong commune, commune and village officials, along with dike management forces, had to be on duty at the low-lying sections of the dike to prevent water from overflowing.
