In 2011, driven by her passion for animal husbandry, Ms. Le Thi Hai began raising chickens. Starting with a few hundred broiler chickens, Ms. Hai gradually developed a passion and enjoyment for chicken farming. To realize her dream of opening a chicken farm, Ms. Hai enrolled in a veterinary and animal husbandry course organized by the Farmers' Association of the commune to gain experience in care, hygiene, and disease prevention.

With the right knowledge, she expanded her flock to 500 free-range chickens. Using her accumulated capital, in August 2016, Ms. Hai borrowed more money from the bank to build a two-story chicken farm with an automatic ventilation system worth 600 million VND.

Determined to raise chickens for clean eggs, which would yield quick profits, Ms. Hai invested in raising 1,300 laying hens of the Pheasant and Egyptian breeds after completing her farm, and also bred 1,700 additional laying hens for the next season.

To ensure her chickens are healthy and produce delicious eggs, Ms. Hai is very strict in selecting feed, the drinking water must be boiled and sterilized using a solar energy system, and she cleans the chicken coop once a day to keep it well-ventilated.

To date, after 3 months of raising them, Ms. Hai collects nearly 1,000 eggs each day. Selling them at 2,000 VND per egg, she earns 2 million VND daily. She says that raising laying hens is highly profitable because after a year, the money from selling the culled hens will cover the cost of the chicks, leaving the farmer with a profit of thousands of eggs each day.

Still not satisfied with her passion for animal husbandry, Ms. Le Thi Hai plans to expand her operation and raise broiler chickens.
