NVIDIA has officially released the GeForce Hotfix Display Driver v595.76 update. This is an urgent measure to address voltage limiting issues on the RTX 50 series graphics cards based on the "Blackwell" architecture, following user reports of GPUs failing to reach optimal clock speeds during overclocking.

The problem started with Game Ready Driver v595.59, which was optimized for Resident Evil Requiem. Immediately after installation, RTX 50 series users reported a series of anomalies such as malfunctioning cooling fans, throttling clock speeds, and significant performance drops.
Real-world testing in Resident Evil Requiem at 1440p resolution, with Path Tracing and DLSS Super Resolution enabled, revealed a significant difference. Driver version 595.59 only achieved 79 FPS, while the older 576.88 driver (released July 2025) reached 133 FPS. This performance difference of up to 68% prompted NVIDIA to remove the update and recommend users temporarily revert to version 591.86 WHQL.

Although the v595.71 WHQL driver update later fixed the FPS drop issue, it created another problem: imposing voltage limits on the GPU. According to tech channels, when using version 595.71, high-end cards like the GeForce RTX 5090 could no longer exceed 3 GHz because the voltage was kept below 1V.
