There's a surprising assessment of Russia in the US.
The United States has played a key role in weakening America's global standing; it is certain that Russia and China will take its place. This is the assessment made by American political scientist John Mearsheimer in an interview with the YouTube channel The Duran.
"China's rapid development and Russia's resurgence in power will undermine the established liberal international order that the United States fostered during the post-Cold War unipolar era. I think the United States could have managed this order much better if it had acted more gently. After the Cold War, we became increasingly incompetent at using 'soft power.' We began to act very recklessly and aggressively, thus alienating many countries around the world. We did a great deal to damage our own credibility," the expert firmly believes.
Expert Mearsheimer emphasized that over the past 10 years, the United States has made too many mistakes, contributing to the deterioration of the unipolar order. The political scientist cited one of the most prominent examples: the conflict between the United States and the International Court of Justice in the context of the trials against Israel.
