Clinton "has become the subject of more scrutiny and unfair criticism than anyone else here."AFPquoting ObamaShe said on September 13, while also accusing the media of ignoring her Republican opponent.
The US president made his first solo appearance at Clinton's campaign event, before 6,000 people in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
"You want to discuss who is more suitable to be president? One candidate has traveled to more countries than any other Secretary of State, and has a better professional background than any candidate in history. The other is not suitable in any way to represent this country abroad or to be commander-in-chief of the armed forces," Obama said.
The US president brushed aside questions about Clinton's transparency, an issue that arose after she remained silent for several days about her pneumonia diagnosis. Instead, Obama attacked Trump's decision not to release his tax returns, an unprecedented move in history.
"You want to discuss transparency? You have one candidate in the race to release decades of tax records. The other is the first in decades to refuse to release anything," Obama said."I really, really, really want to vote for Hillary Clinton."
