With his consistent form and great potential, Leeds United's Illan Meslier has become a top target, promising to provide much-needed competition for Andre Onana.

In that context, Illan Meslier of Leeds United has emerged as a strong option. The French goalkeeper had an impressive season in the Championship, keeping 11 clean sheets and helping Leeds finish second in the league table. With 107 appearances in top-flight competitions, Meslier not only demonstrates consistency but also brings significant tactical value to any team.
Tony Coton, Manchester United's goalkeeping scout, has been closely monitoring Meslier and has rated him as "the best goalkeeper in the Championship". The Red Devils' interest in the 24-year-old is nothing new. Both Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and Erik ten Hag have previously considered him a potential target. However, with Meslier's current contract running until 2026, Leeds still have control of the situation.
However, MU could take advantage of the opportunity as Leeds face the risk of losing this goalkeeper for a low price if he does not agree to extend his contract. According to Transfermarkt, Meslier is valued at around 18 million euros – a reasonable fee for Manchester United.
