OnePlus has officially released the OxygenOS 16.0.9.400 update for the OnePlus Pad 3 tablet, bringing a host of new features and significant improvements to the user experience. Most notably in this upgrade is the introduction of Dual Bluetooth Audio, a highly useful feature already implemented on high-end smartphones like the OnePlus 15, 13, and 12 series last month.

The Dual Bluetooth Audio feature on the OnePlus Pad 3 allows users to simultaneously stream audio to two different pairs of wireless headphones. The mechanism is similar to that on OnePlus phones: after pairing two sets of headphones, the system allows for parallel audio output, making it more convenient to watch movies or listen to music with friends without having to share a single pair of headphones.
A major advantage of this solution is the ability to independently control the volume for each connected device. Users are not limited to the OnePlus ecosystem or the Nord brand; virtually any Bluetooth headset on the market is compatible with this feature, creating maximum flexibility in practical use.

Besides audio improvements, the OxygenOS 16.0.9.400 update also focuses on strengthening the connection between tablets and personal computers (PCs). The Device Connect feature is now smarter, allowing users to remotely lock a connected PC with a single tap on the tablet. This improvement is especially useful when users wear glasses or heavy makeup, helping the device recognize and unlock more accurately in various situations. The update also integrates the July 2026 Android security patch to protect devices against the latest vulnerabilities.
For the Weather app, users can now track detailed astronomical information such as moonrise, moonset, and moon phases directly on the app's home screen. Additionally, the system provides one-touch access control to revoke permissions from high-risk apps, enhancing the device's self-protection capabilities.
Although OnePlus recently confirmed plans to scale back its operations in North America and Europe to focus on the Indian and Chinese markets, this major update demonstrates the company's commitment to maintaining software support for its existing devices globally.
