Mr. Aksenov: "Crimea is an unconquerable fortress"
(Baonghean.vn) - On March 18, the head of the Crimean peninsula, Sergei Aksenov, affirmed that Crimea is a fortress in terms of security, and citizens of this autonomous peninsula should not be afraid of any provocations from Ukraine.

In an interview with TASS news agency, Mr. Aksenov stated: "There is no threat to Crimea. The security of the people of Crimea is fully guaranteed. The Russian Ministry of Defense has created a safety shield under the orders of the President. Crimea has become an unassailable fortress, so everyone can sleep well."
According to Mr. Aksenov, there is currently the most powerful military group equipped with the most modern weapons on the Crimean peninsula. These are ships of the Black Sea Fleet, modern complexes of air defense and anti-ship systems, electronic warfare systems.
"There are more forces stationed in Crimea than in the entire territory of Ukraine," Aksenov stressed. The head of the Crimean peninsula noted that after the invasion of saboteurs in 2016, Crimea decided to strengthen border protection with technical measures.
Earlier, speaking at a session of the Russian State Duma (Lower House) Defense Committee, Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu announced that the Russian military group stationed in Crimea has been reinforced and the safety of this autonomous peninsula is guaranteed.
