This morning, the National Assembly Party Committee held a conference to announce the Politburo's decision on personnel work.
Specifically, the Politburo has decided to let Mr. Nguyen Khac Dinh - Member of the Party Central Committee, Permanent Deputy Secretary of the National Assembly Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the National Assembly stop holding the position of Permanent Deputy Secretary of the National Assembly Party Committee.
The Politburo decided that Mr. Do Van Chien - Politburo member, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, ceased to participate in the Executive Committee, the Standing Committee, and ceased to hold the position of Secretary of the Party Committee of the Fatherland Front and Central organizations.
At the same time, the Politburo mobilized, assigned and appointed Mr. Do Van Chien to participate in the Executive Committee, Standing Committee and hold the position of Permanent Deputy Secretary of the National Assembly Party Committee for the 2025-2030 term.

Mr. Do Van Chien was born in 1962, hometown Tuyen Quang province, is a San Diu ethnic, professional qualification is Agricultural Engineer.
He is a member of the 13th Politburo; a member of the 10th (alternate), 11th, 12th, and 13th Central Committee; and a National Assembly delegate of the 13th and 14th terms.
Mr. Do Van Chien worked for many years in Tuyen Quang province.
In August 2011, he was transferred to hold the position of Secretary of Yen Bai Provincial Party Committee (old).
In February 2015, he became Deputy Minister - Vice Chairman of the Ethnic Committee and held the position of Minister - Chairman of the Ethnic Committee since April 2016.
In January 2021, Mr. Do Van Chien was elected to the Secretariat by the 13th Party Central Committee.
In May 2024, the 13th Party Central Committee elected Mr. Do Van Chien to the Politburo.
