Donald Trump said the US needs to get along with Russia.
Former US President Donald Trump said that cooperating with Russia is a good thing, not a bad thing.

According to RIA Novosti on August 31, former US President Donald Trump believes that getting along with Russia is a good thing.
"Getting along with Russia is good, not bad, remember that. Getting along with these people is good, not bad, and it shows intelligence," said Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump at a campaign rally in Pennsylvania that was broadcast on American cable television.
Trump claims that current US President Joe Biden has "lost his sanity," and describes Biden as someone with a "low IQ."
Mr. Trump said he could help maintain stability around the world by keeping lines of communication open between parties. He added, "I can do that through phone calls, by becoming smarter."
The day before, on August 29th, speaking at an event in Wisconsin, he stated that the greatest challenge facing the United States and the international community is preventing a nuclear war from breaking out in the near future.
Trump stated that the U.S. and Russia are the largest nuclear powers, but predicted that China would catch up in about five years as it builds up its nuclear arsenal.
The Republican candidate is expected to engage in arms control negotiations with Russia if he returns to the White House after the November election.
