Donald Trump vows to work 'hard' to end conflict
US President-elect Donald Trump has promised to do his best to end the conflict in Ukraine.

According to TASS news agency on November 15, President-elect Donald Trump declared to work "very hard" to end the conflict.
“We’re going to deal with the Middle East and we’re going to work very hard with Russia and Ukraine. These stories of conflict have to end. I’ve seen the reports, thousands of people have been killed in three days, soldiers, civilians. We’re going to deal with these problems,” President-elect Trump said on November 14 at the America First Policy Institute gala at Mar-a-Lago, Florida.
Also on November 14 (Washington time), discussing with EU counterparts about the upcoming G20 summit in Rio de Janeiro, US President Joe Biden mentioned the possibility of strengthening Ukraine's position before the inauguration of US President-elect Donald Trump.
“With regard to Ukraine, President Biden will have the opportunity to discuss next steps with his European Union counterparts, including increasing arms supplies, allocating all resources provided by Congress, as well as looking for other opportunities to strengthen Ukraine in the best possible way, before fully transferring power to the next administration,” Assistant Director of the National Security Agency Jake Sullivan said at a press conference, explaining that the US was specifically talking about increasing Europe’s role in supporting Ukraine.
“We will focus our discussions on increased support for Kiev from European countries,” President Biden’s national security aide stressed. According to Mr. Sullivan, the US and its allies are pursuing the goal of “putting Ukraine in the most advantageous position on the battlefield to give it the greatest possible leverage in the preparation for negotiations.”
