Mr. Le Van Khoa resigned from the position of Vice Chairman of Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee.
After nearly two and a half years as Vice Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee in charge of urban and traffic, Mr. Le Van Khoa resigned due to health reasons.
On the afternoon of April 23, Mr. Le Van Khoa said he had submitted a resignation letter from his position as Vice Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee. "Recently, I have had health problems twice and cannot take on this position, so I would like to resign," Mr. Khoa said.

It is expected that tomorrow (April 24), the 9th term Ho Chi Minh City People's Council (2016-2021) will hold an extraordinary meeting to vote to dismiss Mr. Le Van Khoa from the position of Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee. However, this meeting may not elect a replacement for Mr. Khoa.
Mr. Le Van Khoa was born in 1961, from Quang Nam; bachelor of law, bachelor of administration, bachelor of political theory.
At the 20th session of the 8th term Ho Chi Minh City People's Council at the end of 2015, Mr. Khoa was elected Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee. He was assigned to be in charge of urban and transportation.
Mr. Khoa has held this position for nearly 2 and a half years. Currently, his work is being handled by Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee Tran Vinh Tuyen.
Before taking on the position of Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee, Mr. Khoa held the positions of Chairman of District 5 People's Committee; Deputy Director, then Director of the City Department of Industry and Trade.
