Mr. Nguyen Duy Ngoc was appointed Secretary of the Hanoi Party Committee.

Today, the Hanoi Party Committee held a conference to announce the Politburo's decision on personnel work.

The Politburo decided that Mr. Nguyen Duy Ngoc - Politburo member, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Chairman of the Central Inspection Commission, ceased to participate in the 13th Party Central Committee Secretariat.

At the same time, Mr. Nguyen Duy Ngoc was mobilized, assigned and appointed by the Politburo to participate in the Party Executive Committee, the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee, and hold the position of Secretary of the Hanoi City Party Committee for the 2025-2030 term.

Previously, Secretary of the City Party Committee Bui Thi Minh Hoai was mobilized, assigned, and appointed to hold the position of Secretary of the Party Committee of the Fatherland Front and Central Mass Organizations for the 2025-2030 term.

Mr. Nguyen Duy Ngoc was born in 1964, hometown Hung Yen province, has a master's degree in Law.

He has a long career in the police force, holding the following positions: Deputy Director of Hanoi City Police, Deputy Director of the General Department of Police, Director of the Department of Investigation Police for crimes related to corruption, economics, and smuggling.

He was appointed Deputy Minister of Public Security on August 15, 2019, and held this position for nearly 5 years. In December 2023, he was promoted to the rank of Senior Lieutenant General.

In early June 2024, Mr. Ngoc was assigned by the Politburo to hold the position of Chief of the Party Central Office.

In mid-August 2024, the 13th Party Central Committee elected Mr. Nguyen Duy Ngoc as a member of the Secretariat.

Earlier this year, the 13th Party Central Committee elected him to the 13th Politburo and elected him to the position of Chairman of the Central Inspection Commission.
