Russian President Vladimir Putin said in an interview with NBC that he is not afraid of U.S. activities in cyberspace.
Russian President Vladimir Putin commented on allegations that Russian hackers, or Russia itself, were behind cyberattacks in the United States: "These are simply baseless accusations."
The president noted that Russia has never been provided with evidence regarding the allegations of election interference and cyberattacks.

"We are accused of many things. Election interference, cyberattacks, and so on and so forth. And never, never have they bothered to provide any evidence or proof. Simply baseless accusations," Putin said.
Activities in cyberspace
Russian President Vladimir Putin has not ruled out the possibility that Western intelligence agencies, including those of the United States, could conduct cyber operations against Russia.
"We really hope we'll be able to get this process started (against cybercrime). Together with our American partners," he said in an interview with NBC.
"What people fear in the US could also be a danger to us. NATO has declared cyberspace a battlefield. They are planning and preparing something, and of course, this cannot help but worry us," Putin said.
