Mr. Tran Luu Quang was elected to the Party Central Committee.
Tran Luu Quang, Head of the Central Economic Committee, was elected by the Central Committee of the Party to the 13th Party Secretariat.
On the afternoon of January 23, the Central Committee of the Party held a meeting to consider several important issues, including the election of additional members to the Secretariat of the 13th Party Congress.
Accordingly, the Central Committee of the Party elected Mr. Tran Luu Quang, a member of the Central Committee and Head of the Central Economic Committee, to the position of member of the Secretariat of the 13th Party Congress.

Mr. Tran Luu QuangBorn in 1967; hometown: Trang Bang ward, Trang Bang town, Tay Ninh province; professional qualifications: Master of Public Administration, Mechanical Engineer.
He was a member of the Central Committee of the Party in the 11th (alternate), 12th, and 13th terms; and a Member of the National Assembly in the 14th and 15th terms.
Mr. Tran Luu Quang has a long-standing connection to his hometown of Tay Ninh, starting as a specialist at the Department of Planning and Investment and holding various positions: Head of the Foreign Economic Relations Department, Department of Planning and Investment; Deputy Head of the Moc Bai Border Gate Economic Zone Management Board, Tay Ninh; Deputy Director of the Department of Planning and Investment; Chairman and then Secretary of the Trang Bang District Party Committee; and Standing Vice Chairman of the Tay Ninh Provincial People's Committee.
On July 31, 2015, the Politburo assigned him to the position of Secretary of the Tay Ninh Provincial Party Committee for the 2010-2015 term. Subsequently, he continued to serve as Secretary of the Tay Ninh Provincial Party Committee, while also holding the position of Chairman of the Provincial People's Council for the 2015-2020 term.
On February 27, 2019, the Politburo transferred and appointed him to the position of Standing Deputy Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee.
In May 2021, he was assigned by the Politburo to the position of Secretary of the Hai Phong City Party Committee for the 2020-2025 term and held this position until early 2023.
On January 5, 2023, the National Assembly approved his appointment as Deputy Prime Minister for the 2021-2026 term.
On August 21, 2024, he was assigned by the Politburo to the position of Head of the Central Economic Committee.
