Mr. Trinh Van Quyet holds the position of Head of the Central Committee's Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department.
General Trinh Van Quyet has ceased his participation in the Central Military Commission and the Standing Committee of the Central Military Commission for the 2025-2030 term and has been reassigned and appointed to the position of Head of the Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department.
This morning, the Central Party Office held a ceremony to announce the Politburo's decision on personnel matters.
Accordingly, General Trinh Van Quyet - Secretary of the Central Committee of the Party - will cease his participation in the Central Military Commission and the Standing Committee of the Central Military Commission for the 2025-2030 term and will be transferred, assigned, and appointed to the position of Head of the Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department.

Previously, Mr. Nguyen Trong Nghia, Head of the Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department, was appointed to the position of Head of the General Political Department of the Vietnam People's Army.
The Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department is an advisory and support agency of the Central Committee of the Party, directly and regularly assisting the Politburo and the Secretariat on the Party's major guidelines, policies, and strategies in the field of propaganda and mass mobilization; in Party building in terms of politics, ideology, and ethics; in perfecting socialist democracy; and in the close relationship between the Party and the people. At the same time, it is the specialized professional agency for the Party's propaganda and mass mobilization work.
Mr. Trinh Van Quyet was born in 1966 in Hai Phong City and holds a Bachelor's degree in Party Building and State Administration.
Mr. Trinh Van Quyet previously worked for many years in Military Region 2, holding positions such as Deputy Political Commissar of the Military Region, Political Commissar of the Military Region, and Secretary of the Party Committee of the Military Region.
At the 13th National Congress of the Party, he was elected as a member of the 13th Central Committee of the Party, for the term 2021-2026.
In April 2021, he was appointed Deputy Head of the General Political Department of the Vietnam People's Army. In June 2024, he was appointed Head of the General Political Department of the Vietnam People's Army. Two months later, he was elected to the Party Central Committee.
He was promoted to Major General in 2016, Lieutenant General in 2020, General in 2023, and General in July of this year.
