Mr. Trump: Russia and the US are discussing major economic projects
US President Donald Trump said on the social network Truth Social that he is negotiating with his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin about ending the conflict in Ukraine and about major bilateral economic projects.
“I am in serious talks with President Vladimir Putin of Russia about ending the war, as well as major economic development agreements that will be signed between the United States and Russia,” Mr. Trump wrote on Truth Social.

At the same time, he reiterated the argument that the conflict in Ukraine “would never have happened” if he had been in the White House when it began. In a related development, President Trump hopes the US and Ukraine will soon sign a natural resources agreement.
Mr. Trump said that Ukraine's resources and infrastructure should be used to repay the aid the United States has provided. The United States has also proposed three versions of the agreement, which Ukrainian officials described as "bad," "less bad," and "disastrous."
Ukrainian President Zelensky rejected the mineral deal, because according to this plan, it would take Ukraine 250 years to pay in full.
