The Peugeot 3008 was awarded the title of 'European Car of the Year 2017'.

The results of the "European Car of the Year 2017" poll have been officially announced ahead of the 2017 Geneva Motor Show, with the Peugeot 3008 emerging victorious. After a test drive and experience session, 58 automotive journalists from 22 European countries voted for the 7 best cars of 2017. Accordingly, the Peugeot 3008 scored 319 points, overwhelmingly outperforming its competitors such as the Alfa Romeo Giulia (296), Mercedes-Benz E-Class (197), Volvo S90/V90 (172), Citroen C3 (166), Toyota C-HR (165), and Nissan Micra (135). In the past five months, Peugeot has received 125,000 orders for the 3008, demonstrating its popularity among customers.

The "European Car of the Year" award has been held annually since 1964. Last year, the title went to the Opel Astra.
