Authorities cracked two cases, arresting seven suspects involved in robbery and motorcycle theft.

(Baonghean.vn) - Motorcycle theft and robbery are two major cases investigated by the Quynh Luu District Police in the past three months. Seven suspects arrested in these two cases mostly have prior criminal records.

In August 2016, the Quỳnh Lưu District Police established special case CA816T to combat motorcycle theft in the district. On August 25th, they searched and arrested two suspects: Nguyễn Xuân Hiếu (born in 1979) from Hamlet 1, Quỳnh Hồng Commune, and Lại Thế Châu (born in 1977) from Hamlet 4, Quỳnh Ngọc Commune – both of whom had previous convictions for theft.

The suspect is Nguyen Xuan Hieu.

During a search of Nguyen Xuan Hieu's house, the Quynh Luu District Police initially seized 21 motorbikes and 1 electric bicycle, which were stolen by Hieu and Chau but had not yet managed to sell. The two suspects also confessed that they took advantage of people's carelessness in parking their vehicles outside the market without supervision, breaking the locks to steal them. The Quynh Luu District Police are currently continuing to investigate and expand the case.

The Quỳnh Lưu District Police have seized 21 motorbikes and 1 electric bicycle, which were stolen by Hiếu and Châu but had not yet managed to sell.

Previously, numerous robberies occurred in Quynh Luu district, including six reported cases from residents. The victims were mainly couples and young people traveling on deserted roads who were stopped by groups of young men traveling in the opposite or same direction, who assaulted them and stole their belongings; if they resisted, the robbers used knives to attack them. The stolen items were primarily money and mobile phones. In July, the Quynh Luu District Police established Special Investigation Unit CA716C.

During the investigation and search for suspects, a serious robbery occurred on July 10th in a rice field in Hamlet 9, Quynh Ngoc Commune. While Mr. Bui Van H, from Cau Giat town, and his girlfriend were sitting and talking, the suspects approached on a motorbike and forced them to stop. When Mr. H resisted, the suspects used knives to slash his head and legs, severing five extensor tendons in his left ankle, requiring him to be rushed to the hospital. The suspects stole three phones from the couple, including two iPhone 5S phones and one Samsung A7, 110,000 VND, and a T-shirt.

Six individuals in their 20s participated in the robbery in Hamlet 9, Quynh Ngoc Commune.

The Quỳnh Lưu police focused their investigation, reviewing all documents, and on July 22nd arrested two suspects: Chu Quốc Tuấn (born in 1993) from Hamlet 9, who had two previous convictions for theft and had recently been released from prison; and Nguyễn Văn Hướng (born in 1999) from Hamlet 8, both in Quỳnh Yên commune. They subsequently arrested three more suspects: Nguyễn Ngọc Cầu (born in 1993) from Minh Tiến hamlet, Nguyễn Ngọc Quang (born in 1998) from Bút Thanh hamlet, and Đậu Công Dũng (born in 1996) from Minh Tiến hamlet, all in An Hòa commune. On August 1st, Hồ Văn Quang from Hamlet 6, Quỳnh Yên commune, was also arrested for robbery.
