Breaking 2 special cases, arresting 7 subjects for robbery and motorbike theft

(Baonghean.vn)- Motorcycle theft and property robbery are two special projects established by Quynh Luu District Police in the past 3 months. Most of the 7 subjects arrested in the two special projects have criminal records.

In August 2016, Quynh Luu District Police established Project CA816T to combat motorbike theft in the district. On August 25, they searched and arrested two subjects, Nguyen Xuan Hieu (born in 1979) in Hamlet 1, Quynh Hong Commune and Lai The Chau (born in 1977) in Hamlet 4, Quynh Ngoc Commune - subjects who had previous convictions for property theft.

Through a search at Nguyen Xuan Hieu's house, Quynh Luu District Police initially seized 21 motorbikes and 1 electric bicycle, which were stolen by Hieu and Chau but had not yet been sold. The two suspects also confessed that they took advantage of the negligence of people who often parked their motorbikes outside the market, where there was no one watching, so they broke the lock to steal. Currently, Quynh Luu District Police are continuing to verify and expand the case.

Previously, in Quynh Luu district, there were many cases of robbery, including 6 reports from the people. The victims were mainly couples and young people walking on deserted streets, then groups of young people going in the opposite direction or in the same direction blocked their vehicles, beat them and robbed them; if they resisted, they were slashed with knives. The stolen property was mainly money and phones. Quynh Luu district police established project CA716C in July.

During the process of establishing a case, fighting and checking the suspects, on July 10, a serious robbery occurred in the rice field of Hamlet 9, Quynh Ngoc Commune. While Mr. Bui Van H in Cau Giat town and his girlfriend were sitting and talking, the subjects came on a motorbike to force them. When Mr. H resisted, the subjects used a knife to slash Mr. Bui Van H's head and legs, causing 5 tendons in his left ankle to be severed and he had to go to the hospital for emergency treatment. The subjects robbed the couple of 3 phones, including 2 Iphone 5S and 1 Sam sung A7, 110,000 VND and 1 T-shirt.

Quynh Luu police focused on investigating, reviewing all documents and on July 22 arrested 2 subjects including Chu Quoc Tuan (born in 1993) in hamlet 9, who had 2 previous convictions for property theft, and had just been released from prison, and Nguyen Van Huong (born in 1999) in hamlet 8, also in Quynh Yen commune. Then they arrested 3 more subjects: Nguyen Ngoc Cau (born in 1993), Minh Tien hamlet, Nguyen Ngoc Quang (born in 1998) But Thanh hamlet, Dau Cong Dung (born in 1996), Minh Tien hamlet, all in An Hoa commune. On August 1, Ho Van Quang in hamlet 6, Quynh Yen commune was also arrested for robbery.
