Breaking up a case, arresting 2 suspects, seizing more than 62 kg of fireworks

Previously, through professional work, Thanh Chuong District Police discovered a group of people trading in prohibited goods operating with extremely sophisticated methods and tricks. In order to deceive the authorities, the subjects created and printed fake papers produced by the Ministry of National Defense. From there, they changed the packaging of explosive fireworks to fireworks produced by the Ministry of National Defense, then sold them to customers in order to make illegal profits.

Faced with the above situation, Thanh Chuong District Police established a special project to fight. After collecting all the evidence, at around 10:00 a.m. on March 22, at Phuong Son hamlet, Dong Van commune, Thanh Chuong district, the Special Project Board broke the case, arrested Pham Cong Su (born in 1969), residing in Tien Quanh hamlet, Dong Van commune, Thanh Chuong district, Nghe An province, who was "Transporting prohibited goods", and seized 31 kg of fireworks.

The authorities have drawn up a record of the arrest of the offender, sealed the evidence and brought him to the headquarters for questioning. At the investigation agency, Pham Cong Su confessed that the above fireworks were hired by Phung Nguyen Thanh Vi (born in 1984), permanent resident of Go Vap district, Ho Chi Minh City, currently residing in Dinh Son hamlet, Dong Van commune, Thanh Chuong district, Nghe An province, to transport.

Immediately afterwards, the Thanh Chuong District Police Department executed an emergency detention order against Phung Nguyen Thanh Vi. At the same time, they executed an emergency search warrant for Vi's residence and workplace. During the emergency search of Phung Nguyen Thanh Vi's residence, the Thanh Chuong District Police Department seized more than 31kg of explosive fireworks.

In addition, at the residence, the Thanh Chuong District Police Department also seized a number of tools used to make fireworks - the tools that Vi used to change the shells of explosive fireworks into fireworks produced by the Ministry of National Defense and then transported them to sellers to deceive the authorities. In addition, this subject also used boxes printed with fruit images to disguise the explosive fireworks, creating the cover of fruit boxes.

Currently, the case is being further investigated by the Thanh Chuong District Police Department.
