Breaking up a case, arresting a subject illegally transporting explosives in Nghe An
(Baonghean.vn) - Having a criminal record for illegally trading explosives, Nguyen An Ai still has no will to do business when recently Ai was arrested by authorities for repeating his own mistakes.
On April 9, the Economic Police Department of Nghe An Province Police said that the unit had just coordinated with the Investigation Security Department of the Provincial Police to successfully fight a case of illegal transportation and trading of explosives, arresting 1 subject, seizing a large amount of drugs and detonators along with a number of other exhibits.
Accordingly, from the beginning of February 2022, the Economic Police Department of Nghe An Provincial Police discovered that Nguyen An Ai (born in 1960), residing in Quynh Thang commune, Quynh Luu district, showed signs of trading and transporting prohibited goods (explosive) in the areas of Hoang Mai town, Quynh Luu district (Nghe An) and Nghi Son town (Thanh Hoa), so a special project was established to fight. This subject had a previous conviction for "Illegal trading of explosives".

During the investigation, the police determined that Ai often collected explosives and detonators from many places and brought them home to hide. When “customers” had a need, the subject would directly deliver the goods.
To deal with the authorities, Ai often disguised explosives in plastic tubes, plastic cans, paper boxes, used many contact phone numbers, only traded explosives with people he knew before, and often traded explosives at night or when it was raining.

After a period of monitoring, at about 6:30 p.m. on April 6, 2022, in Quynh Trang commune, Hoang Mai town, the Working Group of the Economic Police Department and the Investigation Security Department of Nghe An Provincial Police jointly chaired the successful investigation, arrested Nguyen An Ai for illegal transportation of explosives, and seized evidence including 25 kg of explosives and 250 detonators.
At the police station, Nguyen An Ai admitted all his crimes.
The case is currently being investigated and expanded.
