Authorities crack down on the case, arresting two cousins who set up a makeshift drug trafficking den.
(Baonghean.vn) - Mac Van Thoang owns an isolated, secluded farm in the foothills of Pieng Cam village, rarely visited by people. At various times, strangers, including drug addicts, have appeared at Thoang's farm.
Through intelligence gathering, the Que Phong District Police and the Cam Muon Commune Police discovered that Mac Van Thoang (born in 1987), residing in Pha Pat village, Cam Muon commune, exhibited suspicious behavior regarding his relationships and activities. Mac Van Thoang owned an isolated, secluded farm at the foot of the mountain in Pieng Cam village, Cam Muon commune, with little traffic. At various times, unfamiliar individuals, including drug addicts, appeared at Thoang's farm.
To stabilize the security and order situation in the area, the Que Phong District Police decided to launch a special investigation to combat the problem.
In early December 2022, based on information from the public and through investigative measures, the special task force discovered that Mac Van Thoang and his cousin, Mac Van Thu (born in 1981), had gone to Muong Long village, Tri Le commune, to purchase drugs. After verification, it was confirmed that the suspects had amassed a large quantity of drugs and were likely to conduct drug transactions in the near future. The Que Phong District Police reported the case and requested guidance from the Provincial Police leadership, after which the special task force decided to crack down on the operation.

At 5:30 PM on December 5, 2022, in the Pha Pat village area, Cam Muon commune, the police caught two suspects, Mac Van Thoang and Mac Van Thu, both residing in Pun village, Cam Muon commune, Que Phong district, red-handed for illegally buying and selling narcotics; seizing 800 pills of synthetic drugs.
At the police station, the two suspects confessed to buying the goods from individuals in Muong Long village, Tri Le commune, and then reselling them to customers in the lowland districts.
Currently, the Criminal Investigation Agency of Que Phong District Police is continuing to verify and expand the investigation into the case.
