On March 13th, the Nam Dinh Provincial Police announced that they had dismantled a drug trafficking ring operating online.
The operation concluded with the arrest of three suspects and the seizure of a large quantity of drugs along with other related evidence.

Accordingly, the three arrested individuals all had prior convictions for the illegal buying, selling, or possession of narcotics and resided in Nam Dinh city. They are: Luong Dinh An (born in 1983, residing in Nam Phong ward), Nguyen Trung Kien (born in 1977, residing in Quang Trung ward), and Tran Van Duong (born in 1979, residing in Bao Long village, My Ha commune).
Despite having been imprisoned before, these individuals continued down the path of crime, exploiting cyberspace to carry out their activities in a more sophisticated manner.
The seized items included: 1.4 kg of heroin, 2 kg of ketamine, 1 kg of methamphetamine, 500 synthetic drug pills, 100 ecstasy pills, 5 mobile phones, and other related evidence.

The amount of drugs seized was enormous, indicating the scale of this operation. The suspects were not only involved in the conventional drug trade but also used online platforms on social media to expand their operations.
