Breaking up a large-scale drug trafficking ring online
On March 13, Nam Dinh Provincial Police announced that they had just dismantled an illegal drug trafficking ring operating on the internet.
The case ended with the arrest of three suspects, the seizure of a large amount of drugs and many related exhibits.

Accordingly, the three arrested subjects all had previous convictions for drug trafficking or illegal possession and lived in Nam Dinh city, including: Luong Dinh An (born in 1983, Nam Phong ward), Nguyen Trung Kien (born in 1977, Quang Trung ward), Tran Van Duong (born in 1979, residing in Bao Long village, My Ha commune).
Despite being in and out of prison, these criminals continue their criminal activities, taking advantage of cyberspace to operate more sophisticatedly.
Seized evidence included: 1.4kg of heroin, 2kg of ketamine, 1kg of crystal meth, 500 synthetic drug pills, 100 pink pills, 5 mobile phones and some other related evidence.

The amount of drugs seized was huge, showing the scale of this network. The subjects not only bought and sold drugs but also used online platforms on social networks to expand their scope of operations.
The Drug Crime Investigation Police Department is continuing to investigate and expand the case.
