Pha Le announces happy news: Becoming a grandmother amidst the historic floods in Nha Trang.
The singer shared her joy at her niece's safe birth in Nha Trang, while also expressing concern for her relatives and hometown, which are being severely affected by the floods.
Singer Pha Lê recently announced that her family has welcomed a new member, bringing her the joy of becoming a grandmother in her late 30s. Her daughter, Ốc, has also officially taken on a new role as an aunt. Notably, the singer's niece was born safely in Nha Trang right in the middle of a historic flood in the area.
On her personal page, Pha Le shared: "Reporting to the extended family, I've officially become a grandmother, and Oc has become an aunt. Amidst all the terrible news about the storms and floods happening in Nha Trang, my niece, who is also there, has just successfully given birth. Welcome to this world, my daughter, may you have a peaceful life! As soon as the weather is stable, I'll come visit you."
Joy mixed with worry for my homeland.
Besides the joy of welcoming a new member to the family, the singer couldn't hide her worry as her hometown of Nha Trang suffered severe natural disasters. She said that her aunt and uncle's family there had to evacuate, accepting the loss of property because they were right in the heart of the flood zone.
"Before, I mostly heard about storms and floods through the news... but now Nha Trang, my maternal hometown, is becoming the epicenter of this flood. It's truly heartbreaking. What worries me most is that when the water recedes, bacteria and other germs will be carried into the house, and figuring out how to clean up and continue living there is the crucial part," Pha Le expressed her sorrow.
Single mother life and civilized relationships
Recently, Pha Lê's life after divorcing her Korean husband in 2021 has received much attention. She has focused on her business to raise her daughter alone. Despite going their separate ways, she and her ex-husband maintain a good friendship to co-parent their child.
At baby Oc's birthday party last October, the presence of both of them drew much admiration. However, in response to advice to reconcile, Pha Le affirmed that both are happy with their own lives and that co-parenting their child is their top priority. "We get along incredibly well as friends; we can laugh, joke, and argue all day long. As for love... well, we do love each other, but with someone else," she frankly shared.
The pretty 5-year-old daughter is showing early signs of talent.
Growing up surrounded by the love of both her parents, Pha Le's daughter is becoming increasingly beautiful and adorable. At the age of 5, Oc had already shown artistic talent, confidently walking the runway as a child model.
Currently, Pha Lê enjoys her single life and focuses on her work. In early 2025, she revealed that she was undergoing treatment for depression, demonstrating her strong willpower in facing and overcoming many challenges in life.
